TOP summer fashion styles for 2011 feature dazzling colours that are so vibrant sunglasses will probably be essential just to look in that wardrobe! New season this year is ushering in sudden and brightening changes to all that says "top fashion".
There really isn't any quicker way to get rid of those winter wardrobe blues, than to welcome in the tropical hues of the all the latest of offer from this year's summer fashion ranges. Kiss farewell to those cold season browns, greys and blacks and welcome in a searing summer time with splashes of juicy pink, bright summer yellows and cloud free, shining blues.
This year we're really taking a trip back to the past, as summer fashion brings back those wide splashes of block colours, just like it was in the 60s. Forget all that those retro-psychedelics though - and think more of a stylish and modern theme, made up from strong additions of just one or two broad colours.
In terms of colour scheme, there's a real rainbow of options to choose from, the only rule being they have to be as bold and bright as possible. Banish the winter blues with sunshine yellows or add a squeeze of orange brights, or bright red heels.
Go 50s-style with a pair of pink cropped or just settle for a subtle hint with a bright coloured wedge with a cork heel or espadrille. Alternatively, mix and match shades of one colour, such as navy blue and bright sky blue.
Especially, remember all your bright things when the sun isn't shining, too. Take a 1970s summer fashion slant on nights out - try a tunic style in the brightest of colours you can and add nude heels to really top of that look. Or go for it with a nature-amazing green dress that will really make you stand out from the shrubbery!
The bold colours don't need to cover from head to toe though. Gentle English roses can still look the hot part by accessorizing with care. Why not try a bright, shiny red handbag - or a copper green clutch bag just like Victoria Beckham's - or adopt Hobbs' hot look of summer, by setting off brilliant green accessories with a hot red print choice.
Summer fashion has just one rule for 2011: Always, always bold, bright and beautiful. Hannah Buckley
